COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a booking?
It’s easy — just WhatsApp or call Carol on 065 033 1978. Tell her your event date, venue, the ages and number of children you expect, and whether you want a jumping castle, slip and slide or both. Carol will recommend the best fit and send you a clear quote.
Is a deposit required?
Yes — a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The balance is due before or on the day of delivery, as confirmed at the time of booking. A verbal enquiry or a request to hold a date does not confirm a booking — only the deposit does.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the greater Gauteng area. Travel and setup fees apply depending on your location, and these are always quoted upfront so there are no surprises. To find out whether we cover your area, simply WhatsApp Carol on 065 033 1978.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Jumping castles and slip and slides cannot be used safely in strong wind, heavy rain, storms or lightning. If the weather is unsafe, Bouncy Buks may cancel the setup and offer you an alternative date, or a refund of amounts paid less the non-refundable deposit. If equipment is already set up and the weather turns unsafe, all users must leave immediately. No refund is given for time lost due to weather once equipment has been set up.
Do you supply a first aider?
Yes — Bouncy Buks provides a trained first aider on site at your event. This is something most hire companies do not offer, and it gives parents and organisers genuine peace of mind throughout the day.
Are there weight limits on the castles and slides?
Yes — weight limits apply to all our castles and slip and slides. Carol will confirm the specific limits for your hired equipment at the time of booking and again at setup. These limits must be respected at all times for the safety of all users.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes — an indemnity form must be signed by the responsible adult before our service is provided. Service will not commence until this form is completed and signed. It confirms that the responsible adult understands the safety rules and their supervision responsibilities.
What is not allowed on or near the equipment?
For the safety of users and to protect the equipment, the following are not permitted: shoes, glasses or jewellery; food, drinks or sticky substances; face paint, silly string, confetti or glitter; pets; smoking or vaping; open flames, braais, candles, fireworks or sparklers; alcohol consumed by supervisors or users; aerosol sprays. Please ensure all guests understand and follow these rules.
